FiiO K11 DAC & Headphone Amp Buyer's Guide: 1400mW, Balanced 4.4mm + 6.35mm, DSD256 — Desktop Audio Upgrade Explained

The FiiO K11 is a desktop DAC and headphone amplifier from one of the most established names in personal audio, and its spec sheet reads like a checklist of what an upgrade unit should offer: up to 1400mW of output power, both 6.35mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, RCA, coaxial, and optical digital inputs, and DSD256 decoding. In practice that means it drives demanding planar and over-ear headphones that phone jacks cannot, and it slots into a PC or home-audio chain without extra boxes. At around $191.42, with 294 recent sales and a 98.4% positive rating, it is a well-regarded first serious desktop upgrade — the main homework is matching your headphones' impedance and sensitivity to the gain settings.
